We created paper prototypes to test our initial design ideas on real users. Paper prototypes are distinct from design sketches because their intent is to test an idea with real users, rather than just share or communicate ideas. Thus, they are more developed. Our sitemap helped us create the different pages and sub-pages of the prototype. Testing with our paper prototype allowed us to complete quick evaluations and further iterate on design.
The findings gathered from testing our prototype determined whether our design met user expectations and needs. As a team we developed an evaluation plan including participant recruitment details, test outlines, and data collection techniques. Our evaluation report includes summaries of the data collected as well as the raw data itself. Both the evaluation plan and report helped further guide our design and feature iteration prior to wireframing.
